I finished 8.4 ounces of hand dyed Romney the other day. I got it at the Cowichan Fleece and Fibre market, because I couldn't resist the lovely autumn colours.
It's the big feller at the front, in the pic above.
Now it's this:
The prep was a sort of fat pencil roving that had quite a few slubs and such, but it was a nice spin once I stopped trying to micromanage it and realized it wanted to be a softly spun, rustic sort of thing.
I somehow only got about 365 yards out of all that, but its definitely an aran weight or heavier so I'll make a nice winter cardigan for Rei.
that, right there, is autumn in a skein!
