Haruni - My First Triangular Lace Shawl

I consider myself a pretty accomplished knitter, but, until now, I had never made a triangular lace shawl. I've queued (Seriously, is that how you spell that? Am I making up words again?) many, planned the projects, and bought the yarn, but I've never taken that last step of actually knitting one. I'm not sure why, really. I'm not afraid to knit things and I wear scarves all the time. Long story short, I put on my big girl panties and knit myself a triangular lace shawl.

I chose Haruni, because it looked fairly easy and because I loved the look of the crochet bid off. I used Gaia's Colours Umaj Sock (merino bamboo blend, very nice) in Tammuz and I couldn't be happier with the combination of yarn and pattern. It blocked extremely well for a sock yarn, and I had a little bit left over.

Orange has always been a favourite colour of mine, even though there are other colours I wear better. I hate taking pictures of myself because I almost always look like I'm constipated, about to cry, or psychotic. Sometimes all at once. This one turned out alright, so I'm allowing you to see it. That's a smile by the way, I'm not suffering some terrible pain. You just can't tell because I'm so sneaky.
